VAP came out with a couple of music videos for the characters back in late October for Jinsei to raise some easy awareness for the home video release. Now that the net volume has arrived, they’ve got a couple more of them. The first character video goes for Ikumi Suzuki as performed by Ayaka Suwa while the second gives Saori Onishi some time as Emi mirakami. The series has its preorder bonus items that are limited in nature and these things can disappear quickly, which is part of what these videos are about in reminding people about getting those orders in. The show is getting a seven volume release for its thirteen episode run with the first volume of each format just having one episode while the remainder have two each, hence the pricing design. The Blu-ray’s will be 2,400 yen for the first and 5,800 for the remainder while the DVDs will be priced at 2,000 for the first and 4,800 yen for the remainder. The release schedule began on September 3rd, 2014 and end on March 25th, 2015.
The first volume details show that the release will come with a CD bonus and a box to hold the whole series. The CD will have the ending theme and likely some instrumental tracks/versions.
The series is directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi based on story setting by Tsuyoshi Tamai and Keiichiro Ouchi. Character designs are being done by Tomoyuki Shitaya and the series is being produced at animation studio feel, which has worked on some interesting shows as of late including Outbreak Company.
Plot concept: The story centers around Yūki Akamatsu, a boy who joins the staff of his school’s second newspaper. The editor-in-chief Ayaka Nikaidō immediately assigns him to the life (jinsei) advice column. Three girls — the science representative Rino Endō, the liberal arts representative Fumi Kujō, and the physical education representative Ikumi Suzuki — answer requests from students about whatever is troubling them.
