Here’s a title for the old school fans to perk up about. Makoto Ogino restarted Kujakuoh ~Sengoku Tensei~ back in 2012 and the second volume has landed, which has publisher Leed putting out a promotional video for. Old school anime fans may remember this series under the name Spirit Warrior or Peacock King, which had some OVAs released back in the late 80’s and early 90’s with Central Park Media bringing them to North America. This new promo, which clocks in at just 30 seconds, was done by Asahi Production with Hirotaka Tokuda handling the character designs. The new manga is currently serialized in the Sengoku Bushou Retsuden magazine.

Plot concept: The manga centers around Kujaku, an exorcist with supernatural powers who already starred several previous manga series. In this latest series, Kujaku is suddently transported to Japan’s Era of Warring States (Sengoku Jidai). He must fight against a curse that has created yōkai (supernatural creatures).
