While there are no details yet, Kodansha Comics has confirmed that they will be reprinting the manga for Parasyte. The manga, created by Hitoshi Iwaaki, is currently enjoying a surge of popularity from a well received anime adaptation and some live action films coming up. The original manga was published by Mixxine from TOKYOPOP before Del Rey republished it and then Kodansha Comics did it again back in 2011 and 2012. With the series now being an anime property, there aren’t too many copies laying about and it should be easy to move some more books to try and get more fans on board with it. The original series ran for ten volumes between 1990 and 1995.

Plot concept: They arrive in silence and darkness. They descend from the skies. They have a hunger for human flesh. They are everywhere. They are parasites, alien creatures who must invade—and take control of—a human host to survive. And once they have infected their victims, they can assume any deadly form they choose: monsters with giant teeth, winged demons, creatures with blades for hands. But most have chosen to conceal their lethal purpose behind ordinary human faces. So no one knows their secret—except an ordinary high school student. Shin is battling for control of his own body against an alien parasite, but can he find a way to warn humanity of the horrors to come?
