The Mushibugyo manga has released two OVAs so far this year with the 15th volume back in July having one and the second one set to come out in the next 24 hours in Japan with the 16th volume of the manga series.  Now we’ve got a firmed up date that the third OVA will land with the 17th volume of the manga on January 16th, 2015. The manga from Hiroshi Fukuda has been going on for awhile and the third episode is going to change things up a bit as it focuses on a school story where they all end up wearing school uniforms and enjoy life in that particular form. The releases are slotted to be DVD only releases as of this writing.

Plot concept: The action story is set in Edo-era Tokyo in the early 1700s. The eighth shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune ordered boxes to be installed so commoners can submit their thoughts. After hearing their voices, the shogun creates a new magistrate unit—Mushibugyou—to protect the people in the heart of the city. Each member is a specialist with unique fighting skills.
