2 min read

Inou BattleAvex is handling the home video distribution of another of the fall 2014 anime series with Inou-Battle Wa Nichijou-Kei No Naka De, which has been localized as When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace for English speaking countries. The company is going the Blu-ray only route, something we do expect to see more of from time to time going forward, with the first volume planned for a December 26th, 2014 release date. The series are all listed as limited editions with new volumes following monthly priced at 7,560 yen for the twelve episode run. The first volume lays out some of the extras for it in that there will be a new drama CD for it and the usual event ticket priority pieces as well as a special booklet. The only on disc extra listed so far is that there will be an audio commentary.

With seven volumes to its name so far, Studio Trigger is handling the anime production for the series. Created by Nozomi Kota with artwork by 029 back in 2012, the series has been pretty popular and has naturally launched a supporting manga series as well to draw attention to the novels. The anime adaptation is going to land in October 2014 and has Masahiko Otsuka serving as the general manager of the series with Masanori Takahashi directing while Satoru Yamaguchi is handling the character designs.

The cast includes Nobuhiko Okamoto as July Andou, Haruka Yamazaki as Tomoyo Kanzaki, Saori Hayami as Hatoko Kushikawa, Risa Taneda as Sayumi Takanashi, Nanami Yamashita as Chifuyu Himeki. Joining them are Takuma Terashima as Hajime Kiryu, Kaori Fukuhara as Mirei Kudo, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Shizumu Sagami, Kaori Nazuka as Shiharu Satomi and Emiri Kato as Madoka Kuki.

Plot concept: A group of five boys and girls suddenly acquire supernatural powers. Ready to fight in galactic battles to defend human cause… they are struck by the realization that there are no wars, no conspiracies, no evils empires, no nothing in their high school life. They instead decide to idly have fun by wasting their powers away.
