Crunchyroll has another series making its way outside of Japan in simulcast form as part of the fall 2014 anime season with Hi☆sCoool! Sega Hard Girl now joining its ranks. The series debuts today with episodes arriving every Wednesday at 10am Eastern Time for premium members while free members will get a look at the episodes a week later. The show has decent availiability as it’s open to audiences in the USA, Canada, South Africa, Latin America and South America.

The CG series is being animated at TMS Entertainment and Jinnis under the direction of Sota Sugahara who has written the scripts himself and with Masayuki Kibe. The group is using the MikuMikuDance softward to bring this to life.

The project is bringing together the various consoles to tell the story in this form with three of them formally cast so far with Dreamcast by M.A.O., Sega Saturn by Minami Takahashi and Mega Drive by Shiori Izawa. Other characters featured in the recent PS Vita game Samurai & Dragons included Game Gear and Master System.

Plot concept: The story of the anime will revolve around Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, and Mega Drive, who have just enrolled in SeHaGaga Academy at Tokyo’s Haneda Ōtorii station. They are given an assignment needed to graduate by a suspicious teacher, and to clear this assignment, the girls need to enter the world of Sega games. The girls must try their best to graduate without incident.
