‘Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso’ Anime Debuts Second Trailer

The October 2014 series Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is getting some new love from the noitaminA YouTube channel today as they’ve added the second trailer for the series thta’s set to debut in October. Animated by A-1 Pictures, they’re adapting the original work began in 2011 in Monthly Shonen Magazine by Naoshi Arakawa and has six volumes going so far. It was well thought of at the 37 Kodansha Manga Awards as well where it won the Best Shonen Manga award. The anime adaptation is being directed by Kyohei Ishiguro based on scripts by Takao Yoshioka while Yukiko Aikei is serving as both character designer and chief animatoin director.

The series stars Natsuki Hanae as Kōsei Arima, Risa Taneda as Kaori Miyazono, Ayane Sakura as Tsubaki Sawabe, Ryota Ohsaka as Ryōta Watari, Yuuki Kaji as Takeshi Aiza and Saori Hayami as Emi Igawa.

Plot concept: Kōsei Arima is a former child prodigy who lost his ability to play the piano when his mother died. His daily life is monochrome, but it begins to gain color when he meets a female violinist by chance. Kaori Miyazono is an audacious go-getter who is overflowing with personality. Enchanted by the girl, Kōsei starts to move forward with his own legs at the age of 14.
