Good things come to those that wait? With this Saturday being the end of the Ghost in the Shell: Arise OVA series as it makes its limited theatrical debut in Japan, the official site for the franchise in general has updated with the slimmest of news that a new Ghost in the Shell feature will debut in 2015 in Japan.
Naturally, details are pretty much non-existent, though more may become evident with the new OVA in that it could lead from that series into the film or it could be a project placed elsewhere in the overall continuity of the franchise. Or it could be a compilation film, which would prove to be frustrating for many.
The feature, which is likely long in development at this point anyway to hit a 2015 debut, comes as progress is slowly being made in Hollywood with a live action localized adaptation.
