‘Wolf Girl & Black Prince’ Anime Adaptation Debuts First Promo

Wolf Girl & Black Prince Image 1The anime adaptation of Wolf Girl & Black Prince will debut in the October 2014 season, and now VAP has come out with the first promo for the series, which clocks in at a welcome 90 seconds. This gives us a good bit of dialogue and character animation material to see while also letting the tone of the show shine through well. The series is getting a fairly standard kickoff with a broadcast on Tokyo MX, YTV, BS11 and Chukyo TV. A key visual was released a couple of weeks ago that you can see on the right that focuses on our lead character of Kyoya Sata.

The series comes from Ayuko Hatta, which began back in 2011 and has eight volumes released in Japan so far, along with a few spinoffs such as a novel and Drama CD. The series is being directed by Kenichi Kasai based on scripts by Sawako Hirabayashi with character designs by Maki Fujioka, who is also serving as the chief animation director.

The series stars Kanae Ito as Erika Shinohara, Takahiro Sakurai as Kyoya Sata, Ai Kayano as Ayumi Santa, Mariya Ise as Marin Tachibana, Mikako Komatsu as Aki Tezuka, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Yoshito Kimura, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Nozomi Kamiya, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Takeru Hibiya and Ayumu Murase as Yū Kusakabe.

Plot concept: Erika lied to her friends about having a boyfriend by showing a picture of an anonymous guy who turned out to be a a schoolmate of hers and was shortly recognized by her friends. Their conversations then was overheard by the guy, Sata Kyouya. Erika went to explain and proposed her idea of faking as lovers. However, Sata who gave off the nice-charming feelings guy turns out to be a black prince and used her reasons to blackmail her instead.
