Riichi Ueshiba now has an end date for his manga, Mysterious Girlfriend X, which began back in 2006. The series has had eleven volumes released so far and was adapted into an anime series in 2012 which was simulcast on Crunchyroll and licensed and released by Sentai Filmworks. Crunchyroll has been providing the manga digitally as well. The manga run is going to come to a close in the next issue of Afternoon magazine, which is set to release on September 25th.

Will they finally freakin’ kiss?! Actually, I kinda hope they don’t. It would be a shame to ruin the ridiculous amount of frustration at this point. Maybe just the last two panels with the two leaning in to kiss then an abrupt turn towards to camera with both of them saying “Thanks for reading!” I would accept this.
That’s pretty sudden. Wonder what led to the decision to end it?
It does seem to happen a lot. All of a sudden, “we’re ending next issue!” and wham, that’s it.
