The anime adaptation for Yamada And The 7 Witches based on the manga by Miki Yoshikawa continues to progress. Originally we had a brief two minute short back in 2013 and that turned into the reveal that a bigger adaptation would be done for it in the form of an OVA. The project will be directed by Tomoki Takuno, who is doing storyboards as well, with Fumiaki Usui serving as assistant director while Eriko Iida will be handling the character designs. Now some casting has landed for the show, which helps to flesh out the project. The cast has now been revealed to include Ryota Ohsaka as Ryu Yamada, Saori Hayami as Urara Shiraishi and the new additions of Toshiki Masuda as Toranosuke Miyamura while Maaya Uchida is signing on as Miyabi Ito. The OVA has a planned December 17th, 2014 release date.
Plot concept: Shiraishi Urara is the top student in her school. One day, due to an accidental kiss, Urara finds herself in the body of the school delinquent, Yamada Ryuu! In trying to switch back to their own bodies, Urara and Ryuu discover that kissing causes them to switch bodies, which leads to their discovery that there are 7 witches in their school. They soon try to uncover the identities of the 7 witches…
