Set to debut in just a few minutes, Crunchyroll has announced the acquisition of the summer 2014 anime series Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma illya 2wei. The series will stream every Wednesday at 2:15pm ET for premium members and a week later for free members. The main cast is returning and the additional casting has occurred with Chiwa Saito joining as Kuro, Hitomi Nabatame has signed on as Bazett Fraga McRemitz while Ami Koshimizu will be playing Caren Hortensia. With chief director Shin Oonuma overseeing things, the series is directed by Masato Jinbo based on series composition by Kenji Inoue and scripts by Hazuki Minase. Character designs are being handled by Nozomi Ushijima with animation production being done at SILVER LINK.
The series has a good bit of availability to it as it will be open to audiences in North America, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, and Latin America (Central and South America including the Caribbean).
Plot concept: Illyasviel von Einzbern is an ordinary middle school student in Japan who becomes a magical girl after the magical Kaleidostick Ruby deems her a more suitable master than the sorceress, Rin Tohsaka. Unable to dissuade Ruby, Rin forces Illya to collect the mysterious Class Cards in her place. Illya’s own mysteries may have unknowingly attracted Ruby to her.
