After adding the opening sequence almost a month ago, FUNimation has added the opening sequence to one of their upcoming release with the July 29th, 2014 release of Senran Kagura. Similar to their adding of the original opening sequence for the series, this one unfortunately could not be subtitled due to music rights issues. The winter 2013 anime series is directed by Takashi Watanabe based on scripts by Takao Yoshoika.
Directed by Jerry Jewell, the series English language adaptation stars Felecia Angella, Brittney Karbowski, Alexis Tipton, Megan Shipman, Bryn Apprill, Monica Rial, Teri Rogers, Lara Woodhull, Kara Edwards and Trina Nishimura.
Senran Kagura is being released in DVD/BD combo form with both a limited edition with chipboard box and a regular edition, priced at $69.98 and $64.98 respectively. The twelve episode series comes with a number of extras including a pair of English language commentaries, original promotional videos and commercials as well as the clean opening and closings. Additional features include pieces with titles such as Heart-Pounding Body Measurement Hide Hibari’s Nakedness!, I Want to Bury My Face in Those Breasts!, Ikaruga-Style Exercises!, Forbidden! Terror of the Off-Limits Room! and Rival Showdown Without Honor and Humanity!
