‘Black Bullet’ Manga Gets End Date

The manga adaptation of the light novel series Black Bullet has gotten its end notice as the final chapter for it is scheduled to appear in the June 27th, 2014 issue of Dengeki Maoh. The manga, produced by Hon Morino based on the light novels of the same named by Shinden Kanzaki, kicked off back in 2012 and has three published volumes so far with the fourth scheduled to land a day before the final chapter. The light novels got an anime adaptation this season, which is produced by Kinema Citrus, that has already been licensed for North American release by Sentai Filmworks. Neither the light novels nor the manga have been picked up by an overseas distributor yet.

Plot concept: A near future, where humans have been defeated by the viral parasites named Gastrea. They have been exiled into a small territory and live in despair, side by side with terror.

In this world trapped in darkness—

Rentaro, a boy living near Tokyo and member of the “Civil Security” – an organization specializing in fighting against the Gastrea – is used to accomplishing dangerous tasks. His partner is Enju, a precocious young girl. They fight thanks to their peculiar powers until one day, when they receive a special assignment from the government. This top secret mission is to prevent the destruction of Tokyo…

Set in a near future, this thrilling heroic-action story… starts now!
