Persona 3 - Midsummer Knight's DreamSet for release on June 7th, 2014 in Japan, the second trailer for Persona 3: The Movie – Midsummer Knight’s Dream has landed. The new trailer, adapting the game of the same name from Atlus, shows off a good deal of the quality of the animation and style that follows what the first movie set down, even with it mostly underperforming in its debut with just a $2 million take over the two weekends it was in theaters. The second film has had a couple of changes with the creative side compared to the first as Noriaki Akitaya is no longer the director and Akiko Asaki and Mizuka Takahashi are out as the chief animation directors. In their place, Tomohisa Taguchi is taking on the directorial duties for the film while Tomomi Ishikawa and Yae Ootsuka will step in as the chief animation directors. The other primary positions have remained the same.

Plot concept: In the wake of moving to Iwatodai City, Makoto Yuki had inadvertently found himself leading a covert Gekkoukan High School club called the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad — S.E.E.S. against supernatural monsters called Shadows which appear during a time period hidden between one day and the next known as the Dark Hour. While chasing the mystery of the Dark Hour, Makoto and his friends soon found themselves in various death battles against the giant Shadows which appeared on the nights of the full moon and barely manage to emerge victorious.
