The latest tease of information for the upcoming YuruYuri OVA project has landed and it’s definitely something to get excited about. We’ve had word previously that we’d be getting an OVA this year with a theatrical screening ahead of release to build up the anticipation even more and now an image from an upcoming issue of Comic Yuri Hime has landed staying that it’s a winter release. In addition to that, they also bring out the upcoming box set release dates for the first two seasons on Blu-ray which will help to keep it in the mindshare for folks as well.
Two series have come about so far for the slice of life manga which were simulcast on Crunchyroll with NIS America picking them up for Blu-ray releases along with Hulu distribution.
Plot concept: Right after starting middle school, Akari Akaza joins the Amusement Club which is composed solely by her two childhood friends, Kyouko Toshinou and Yui Funami. Chinatsu Yoshikawa, Akaza’s classmate, becomes a member after finding out about the dissolution of the Tea Club.
The Amusement Club, situated at the tea room facility since the Tea Club disbanded, has no clear purpose, being free for the girls to do whatever they want.
