With The CW making the pickup last week for the fall TV season with The Flash, they’ve now let loose with a new promo image/banner for it that you can see to the right. The series is spinning out of the popular CW series Arrow where Grant Gustin appeared for a few episodes before being struck by lightning that would turn him into the title character of his own show. Some elements of what will populate this new series have been appearing in Arrow to help build the connected nature of it all and establish a few ties so there can be guest appearances down the line as well.
With the pilot directed by David Nutter, the series stars Grant Gustin, Jesse L. Martin, Rick Cosnett, Danielle Panabaker, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanagh. John Wesley-Shipp of the previous Flash TV series will guest in the pilot.
Plot concept: Barry Allen is a Central City assistant police forensics investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. A comic book fanboy, Barry is obsessed with the Arrow unaware that working with Oliver and Felicity to solve the crime has brought him right into the dangerous world of the vigilante.
This picture is awesome can’t wait for the series to start.
The flash is my favourite superhero but I would rather him getting his own film rather than a tv series and it’s also kinda weird how Barry Allen has blonde hair and is in his thirties but in the series he’s got brown hair and looks like a teen!
