1 min read

iZombieBased on the Vertigo Comics series of the same name, The CW has released the first image/poster/banner piece for iZombie, which you can see in larger form by clicking on the image on the right. The book ran for twenty-eight issues beginning in 2010 as written by Chris Roberson and initial artist Michael Allred. Four collections were released previously. The live action adaptation isn’t working directly off of the books and stories within but rather taking most of the elements and going forward in its own direction, notably in changing the lead character from a gravedigger to a med student working as a coroner.

The series stars Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Alexandra Krosney, David Anders, Robert Buckley, Nora Dunn and Ruhul Kohli.

Plot concept: A med student-turned-zombie takes a job in the coroner’s office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity, but with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse’s memories. With the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head.
