Studio ufotable has put out the first ad for an interesting project that they have going on with Ohenro ~Hachi Hachi Aruki~ , which translates to Ohenro. Eighty-Eight Steps Chronicle. The project is one that falls out of the usual anime things that we see as it’s set to premiere tomorrow at 11:15 AM on OHK in Japan as it follows three characters as they go through the pilgrimage to eighty Buddhist temples as part of the 1200th anniversary. Story versions of the project have been ongoing on the official site that ufotable set up last fall which is available for folks to read.
The series brings together Nanami Yamashita, Yuri Ehara and Marika Kouno as the three girls doing the trip. It’s unclear at this time how many episodes will be produced but they appear to be standard length episodes.
