With the recent changes to the release of Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! in that the original monolingual release would give way to a bilingual release, Sentai Filmworks has now announced the ADR director for the series. With the DVD release going for the monolingual approach and a bilingual special edition coming later along with the Blu-ray, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! is set to be directed by Emily Neves. Neves, who came to attention several years ago with her run in American Idol, went on to do a lot of voice acting for both FUNimation and Seraphim Digital while also working as a resident actress at the Alley Theater in Houston, Texas. She’s appeared in some of the bigger titles from Sentai Filmworks in recent years with Highschool of the Dead and Samurai Girls and is in the upcoming Hakkenden series while also headlining the recent Hiiro no Kakera series.

With this release, it’ll mark her first turn as the main ADR director as she has done some assistant ADR work in the past.

Plot concept: Yuta Togashi has a problem. He used to be a “chunibyo,” one of the thousands of Japanese students so desperate to stand out that they’ve literally convinced themselves that they have secret knowledge and hidden powers. But now that he’s starting high school, he’s determined to put aside his delusions and face life head on. The trouble is Rikka Takanashi, his upstairs neighbor, is just a little bit delusional herself. And she knows all about his past indiscretions. Yuta thought his delusions were all behind him. Now he’s not so sure. “Crazy in love” gets a whole new meaning as fantasy worlds collide!
