NIS America has made a second pickup this season for a home video release by announcing the acquisition of Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara (If Her Flag Breaks). The series is kicking off now in simulcast form with it being shown through Crunchyroll and NIS America will bring it out in retail for at a future time with formats to be determined then.
The series, based on the light novel series of the same name that also has a manga going, is often shortened as just Gaworare and will be animated by Hoods Entertainment, who has had some very good shows recently that they’ve worked on with Qwaser of Stigmata, Mysterious Girlfirned and this season’s BlazBlue. The series is set to be directed by Ayumu Watanabe, who has a lengthy lit of credits with Doraemon but also did a few other shows, including work on Space Brothers.
Plot concept: Based off of a light novel of the same name written by Toka Takei and illustrated by Cuteg, Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara is about new transfer student Sota Hatate, who has the ability to see the future of those around him in the form of flags above their heads. However, instead of living by himself after transferring to the elite Hatagaya Academy, he somehow winds up under the same roof as a bevy of beautiful girls!
