Crunchyroll Adds ‘Nanana’s Buried Treasure’ For Spring 2014 Anime Lineup

Crunchyroll’s increasingly long slate of titles available for the spring 2014 season continues to grow as they’ve added the new series Nanana’s Buried Treasure to the list. The series, part of the noitaminA block, is set to launch today at 2:30pm ET for premium members while free members can get it a week later. The show is based on the light novel of the same name which had a brief 2 minute special back in 2011. The light novel was done by Kazuma Ōtorino and artist Akaringo and the new series for it and it will be directed by Kanta Kamei, who was last seen directing Oreshura.

The series will be available to viewers located in North and South America, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the Middle East, the Arab League, and Europe excluding France, Switzerland, Belgium, Algeria, Monaco, Tunisia, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Liechtenstein, and Italy.

Plot concept: Based on the award-winning light novel by Kazuma Ootorino, Nanana’s Buried Treasure focuses on Jyugo Yama, a boy who was disowned by his father and forced to transfer to a high school on an artificial island. He begins to live by himself, only to discover his room is haunted by the ghost named Nanana Ryugajou. She was murdered ten years ago and cannot rest in peace until her killer is found. Before her death, Nanana collected things from all over the world and hid them on the island. Jyugo and Nanana set out to find these treasures and use their mysterious powers to find the culprit of the murder.
