Originally airing during the summer 2013 anime season, Viz Media picked up the overall rights for Blood Lad with plans to bring it out on home video. The folks at Neon Alley, which showcased all of the Viz Media dub premieres on the service before anywhere else, was quizzed about whether we’d be seeing that again in the future since the service shifted to its partnership with Hulu and its business model. Luckily, it looks like fans will be able to see it for a limited time when it does happen, and confirmed that Blood Lad is in the midst of being dubbed.
.@DanielLeeSewell No exact date for Blood Lad yet (actually being dubbed now) but it will be up – all 10 eps – for at least 1 month.

Plot concept: Staz is the vampire boss of a section of the demon world, but he has little interest in human blood. He’s more infatuated with Japanese culture. When he learns that Yanagi Fuyumi, a Japanese teenage girl, accidentally wanders into the demon city, he jumps to the occasion. However, while Staz deals with an intruder on his turf, the oblivious Fuyumi is killed by a monster and becomes a wandering ghost. The disappointed Staz vows to her that he will find a way to bring Fuyumi back to life.
