After the first season that completed in the winter 2013 season, there wasn’t much expectation for the hyper series Ai Mai Mi to return after the months went on. But now it’s been announced via the official Japanese site that the series will be getting a second season, which will be titled Ai Mai Mi ~Moso Catastrophie~. No details about when the series will debut has been announced but it’s been listed that the cast and staff from the first season will be returning for more. A new key visual has also been released to promote the announcement of the new season that studio Seven will be animating with Itsuki Imazaki at the helm as writer and director as well as character designer for the short run episodes.
Plot concept: The story follows girls in a manga club—Ai, Mai, Mii, and Ponoka-senpai—who might be fighting evil invaders threatening Earth, facing off against rivals in tournaments, and dealing with other absurd situations when they are not drawing manga.
