Spring series Isshukan Friends has a couple of new TV sized promos out from TOHO this week that shows off the two main characters, giving them each a bit of time to narrate their situation a bit. The show is based on the manga by Maccha Hazuki that kicked off in 2012 in Gangan Joker. The series had its first promotional video released awhile ago which definitely paints the atmosphere well. Isshukun Friends is set to debut on April 6th on Tokyo MX.

In regards to the cast, the show has Sora Amamiya taking on the role of Kaori Fujimiya while Yoshitaka Yamaya will take on Yuki Hase. Taoru Iwasaki is set to direct it for Brains Base working off of the scripts by Shotaro Suga and character designs by Eri Yamazaki. Four volumes have been released so far for the title that translates as One-Week Friends. The title is Hazuki’s second series as he made his debut with Kimi to Kami Hikouki to, a four panel manga series that only made one compiled volume over the two year run that began in 2008.

Plot concept: Kaori Fujimiya is always alone because all of her happy memories, including time spent with her friends, disappear every Monday. Deciding that he wants to be friends with her anyway, Yuuki Hase tries to get close to Kaori each week, wishing that she would one day call him “a friend”.
