We got the announcement in January that another manga series is getting the anime adaptation green light with Akame ga KILL!. Now TOHO has stepped up to provide a brief teaser for the series, which gives us the briefest of tastes of the animation/design itself but works well to set the tone. Based on the manga by Takahiro with artwork by Testuya Tashiro that began in 2010, TOHO registered a domain name for it recently and was then confirmed by the February issue of Gangan Joker. The property is getting a big push these days as there are a couple of game projects that are in the works along with a prequel series that kicked off recently. For the main project, it released its ninth compiled volume in late January as well.
Plot concept: Tatsumi is a fighter who just got robbed by a pretty girl, but his luck seems to be looking up, as another pretty girl has taken him in. What he doesn’t know is that this girl is about to be visited by a family of assassins (including the girl who robbed him) and they might be the good guys, and be recruiting…
