With Nicktoons having previously picked up The Little Battlers eXperience, aka Danball Senki, Dentsu Entertainment has made their announcement to adapt the program for the American market through their Dentsu Entertainment USA subsidiary. The show, which began in 2011 and animated by Oriental Light and Magic, has Bandai America on board as a partner for it in the toys and merchandise department, having made that debut this weekend at the New York Toy Fair.

“The LBX franchise is a great example of Dentsu Entertianment USA’s approach,” says Yuma Sakata, president and chief executive officer, Dentsu Entertainment USA. “The LBX series in Japan was creative and benefited from a coordinated launch by multiple partners in the broadcast, gaming, toy and licensee sectors. We think that, in working with our team of North American writers, producers, and partners, we will experience similar success in the Americas.”

Plot concept: The year is 2050, and a small-scale, hobby robot called “LBX” is the latest trend. LBX’s battleground is a futuristic box made of a material that can absorb their impact called “Reinforced Cardboard.” Those battles fought within these boxes are known as the “Cardboard Chronicles.” A year has passed since LBX were taken back from those trying to use them for evil, once again being loved by hobbyists, worldwide. In this chapter, two boys who share a passion for LBX face off against a new menace endangering the world.
