Welcome back to Star Wars Thursday, a celebration of the wonderful and often wacky world of a galaxy far, far away.

I’ve often claimed that I can find a Star Wars mashup of almost anything. I’m sure there will be something along the way that slips through my fingers, but I’m happy to report two fun successes today.

I may be one of just a handful of people who haven’t yet seen Frozen. Even so, when I heard it won a Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature, I knew I’d need to see what mashups I could find.

Let’s start with the t-shirts that were created for the Frozen crew. This design is so much fun, and I know the entire internet has been clamoring to get their own. My guess is that they won’t show up for those of us who were not lucky enough to be on the Frozen team.

Then there are two wonderful Frozen drawings that bring Elsa into the Star Wars universe.

One, by Naima at DeviantArt, shows her with her snowflakes in one hand and an icey lightsaber in the other. Naima has some other Disney Star Wars illustrations at her page. My favorite is Belle dressed in Han’s clothing.

The other paints Elsa in a darker light. Pushfigher, at DeviantArt, brings her to the Dark Side with creepy eyes and Force lightning dancing around her snowflake. Pushfighter’s site includes other mashups as well. Snow White wielding Maul’s double lightsaber and Mulan as Boushh are my top picks.

One of my favorite Geeks to follow on Twitter – @Amy_Geek – tweeted about watching a lot of Pride & Prejudice and Star Wars while working this week. Then she mentioned how she hoped she’d dream about Colin Firth and lightsabers. Well, I couldn’t find any images of Firth wielding a lightsaber (sorry, Amy) but I did find a few Austenish Star Wars mashups!

The image at the top of the post is from Kelly Light’s website. She was inspired by her husband attempting an Austen/Star Wars bedtime story back in 2011. Kelly is a professional illustrator, and her first picture book as illustrator AND author, Louise Loves Art, will come out later this year.

What would Pride & Prejudice be like with Amidala and Anakin in the roles? This trailer endeavors to answer that very question.

There’s even a start to Pride & Prejudice with a Sithy flair on Defira85’s Tumblr. It begins, as you would expect, with “It is a truth universally acknowledged across the galaxy that a Sith Lord in possession of an evil scheme must be in want of an apprentice.” Check out the rest of the story at her Tumblr page!

MyGoodRabbit on DeviantArt was so enamored of the story that she drew the main character with her red lightsabers.

No matter what else you love, there is a way to weave it into the Star Wars universe. Clearly, Star Wars is for everyone.

Until next week – may the Force be with you!
