Upcoming series Nobunagun has a new promotional video out that gives us a real glimpse of what to expect from the January 5th show that definitely looks to be kind of whacked in a way. The new promo is all about the characters but no dialogue for it as we see what the animation team is bringing to the table and the kind of visual design that provides the atmosphere. The show will be animated by studio Bridge which has done work such as Sergeant Frog and Devil Survivor 2 and it will have Nobuhiro Kondo at the helm for it. Kondo has a solid career over the years with a fair bit of episode direction, especially with Sergeant Frog, but also with a Kekko Kamen OVA and directing the Oni-Tensei OVA.  Based on the manga of the same name by Masato Hisa, Nobunagun has had two compiled volumes have been released previously about this group of kids who use historical figures as weapons, such as Christopher Columbus, Isaac Newton and obvious Oda Nobunaga.

The series is slated for a January 5th, 2014 premiere.
