‘Nagi No Asukara’ Anime Gets NIS America Pickup, Hulu Distribution

Similar to one or two other recent reveals through the materials being distributed by Hulu, it looks as though NIS America has added the Nagi no Asukara anime series to its library. The first six episodes of the series are now available on Hulu in subtitled-only form with NIS America listed as the rights holder for it. Animated by PA Works, the series is being directed by Toshiya Shinohara based on the story my Mari Okada with broadcast set on Tokyo MX and Animax. Okada’s works in the past year alone have been pretty diverse with series composition involvement on Aquarion Evol, Black Rock Shooter, Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, AKB0048, Blast of Tempest, Pet Girl of Sakurasou and AKB0048 next stage.

Plot concept: Long ago, all humans lived in the ocean. But some who longed for the land abandoned the ocean, casting off the special raiments granted to them by the sea god to adapt them to life under the sea…
