Dezember’s attempt at throwing his weight around hasn’t gone well now that Ros’ true history and origins are revealed (amusingly known to people who read the manga on Nico, as the narration goes) and Dezember gets taken down pretty quickly. Ros, who has long been a favorite of mine in the series, really has fun here as he uses his magic to great effect and just toys with Dezember, as Dezember so richly deserves. Ros really goes at things in a fun way here, including dealing with the Demon King, who thinks he has the upper hand but really doesn’t. And having a poor, confused alba in the mix just makes it even more amusing since he does bring up the long forgotten plot point of having twelve demons to seal up beyond the Demon King himself.
In Summary:
Abrupt Senyu ending is abrupt. But the show has one more episode to go which will likely put the focus more on Alba, and maybe a hint of what Ros is really up to. With this episode, we get a whiplash turn of events that works beautifully and made me laugh quite a lot, especially since Dezember can totally make that afro work. It’s simply silly and goofy with only the more basic adherence to the overall plot concept of the series. Senyu once again just makes me laugh and wishes that the show would get picked up and released here in full form.
