New Anime DVD/BD Releases For August 27th, 2013

There’s only a few releases hitting at the end of August here, which is helpful after the deluge of titles that came out across the board, but there are some noteworthy releases to be sure. Though it’ll get less attention, we’re thrilled to see the Captain Harlock Complete TV Collection finally debut as that brings a classic out that’s been sorely lacking for too long. On the big production side, FUNimation is dominating this week with its two main releases with the two part Guilty Crown release. The first part comes in a regular edition and a big limited edition with two art books inside. The second half is more straightforward with the show itself and no limited edition version.
