While we finish up the summer season in the next few weeks and delve into the fall season, more of the 2014 broadcast year is coming into view. The latest piece of that puzzle is the reveal that the manga series Sabagebu, which has four volumes in print so far and a fifth planned for September, is set for an anime adaptation in 2014. The manga, which runs in the shoujo magazine Nakayoshi, comes from Hidekichi Matsumoto and has been running since 2011. The series will be directed by Masahiko Ota with Takashi Aoshima doing the scripts for it.

Plot concept: Middle school girl Momoka is dragged into joining one of the strangest associations at her school, the Survival Game Club. Its members participate in various forms of paramilitary training under the watchful eye of charming and alarming president, Miou. How on Earth will the inexperienced Momoka survive her training, let alone Miou’s company?!
