Aniplex USA made an announcement at Otakon over the weekend about a new acquisition as they delve into the upcoming fall anime season by acquiring the rights to Kill La Kill, which isn’t too much of a surprise since it’s produced by Aniplex Japan. They’ve also now released a new trailer for the show to get fans primed for it considering the creative talent involved. Directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, who was behind such series as Gurren Lagann and Dead Leaves, it brings him back to work with Kazuki Nakashima with whom they collaborated together on Gurren Lagann.
Plot concept: The story centers around two fiercely fighting schoolgirls, Ryuuko Matoi and Satsuki Kiryuuin. On a campus ruled by force, a transfer student wielding a Basami sword brings about upheaval.
