It’s shaping up to be a good time to be a Cutie Honey fan as another piece of the classic puzzle is surfacing this year, at least in Japan. Toei Animation has announced a planned December 6th release date for a complete OVA collection for Shin Cutie Honey, which will bring all 8 OVAs together for 11,340 yen. The series, according to information, is getting a high quality high definition remaster for this release and it looks to be bringing together anything that was produced for previous editions, from DVD to LaserDisc to have a truly complete collection. The release will inclue a special CD with a radio drama that wasn’t completed and will provide the screenplay for an uncompleted episode. The set will also have a new 8 page booklet. The set will have two discs with the Japanese language done as PCM while the video will be remastered in 1080p 1.33:1 format.
Plot concept: Cosplay City is in danger when the evil Dolmeck shows up. Commanding his army of monsters, he plans on destroying everything. Only one person can stop this: Cutey Honey. After she is released from her dormancy, Honey Kisaragi becomes the multi-transformational android Cutey Honey. However, the least is expected when Honey is faced with an old enemy from the past: Panther Zora.
