Crunchyroll Adds ‘Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East’ Season 2 For Summer 2013 Anime Lineup

Hakkenden Season 2Crunchyroll has picked up an expected simulcast this afternoon with news that they’ll be bringing over Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East, which follows up their simulcast of the first season previously and is still available on the service. The show is set to begin on July 8th at 2:25pm ET for premium members and a week later for free members. The series will be available to audiences in the USA, Canada, Central & South America, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

Plot Concept: Inspired by a classic Japanese heroic legend, HAKKENDEN: EIGHT DOGS OF THE EAST is based on a manga by Miyuki Abe, which was adapted into anime by Studio Deen in January 2013. The cast of voice talent includes Tetsuya Kakihara (Fairy Tail), Satoshi Hino (Gintama), Ayahi Takagaki (Sword Art Online), and Nobuhiko Okamoto (Blue Exorcist).
