NIS America has set a new license acquisition today with the announcement of Yuruyuri: Happy Go Lily. The first season of the show is getting a premium edition Blu-ray release on September 3rd for $64.99. tHe show brings the twelve episodes out in one collection with a great artbook with lots of materials in it. On disc extras include the clean opening and closing plus the B-side episode previews. The second season of the series is expected in early 2014.
Plot concept: Right after starting middle school, Akari Akaza joins the Amusement Club, whose only other members are her two childhood friends Kyoko Toshino and Yui Funami. Chinatsu Yoshikawa, Akari’s classmate, becomes the fourth member after falling head over heels for Yui. The Amusement Club meets at the abandoned tea ceremony room and has no clear purpose, leaving the girls to do whatever they want. More often than not, Kyoko stirs up some wild scheme to get everyone in trouble as a means to pass the time and experience the ideal middle school life!
