The series revolves around Sayuri Satō, the new front desk worker at the Sparrow’s Hotel — “the closest hotel to Heaven.” Her special features are her large breasts and her skills of assassination. She takes down people who cause trouble in the business hotel with those skills, but she is in fact very unskilled when talking to the male hotel manager, and often bites her tongue.

One of the fun things with hotels, which I can attest to having dealt with quite a few hotel staffers over the years with Anime Boston, is the way they (and others) react when cosplay hits, especially unexpectedly. With a manga event in the area, the hotel is overrun with people and they’re not the normal sort with how they dress and it causes some wariness from the manager and others. Of course, everyone is just in love with what Sayuri represents so there are some positives to it with her in her uniform. The event also ends up drawing Billy back to the hotel since he sees all these people with weapons, but his derision towards them is comical since they’re not real.
In Summary:
You have to have the right kind of staffer to handle anime and manga events at a hotel since they can be pretty jarring from normal routines. Sparrow’s Hotel isn’t quite prepared for it and the staff are just uncertain of what to make of it, especially with some of the buzzwords that are thrown around that just seem bad. Sayuri makes out decently since she can become an attraction, but she’s also a bit intense when dealing with the weapons side based on her own history and profession which makes for a few decent bits of comedy.
