While we’ve got just a bit to go until the release of the September issue of Dragon Magazine, it appears that an image in the mag has confirmed that Coffin Princess Chaika will be getting an anime adaptation. The property comes from writer Sakaki Ichirou, who is known for his work Scrapped Princess primarily, which was released in the US by Bandai Entertainment years ago. Known as Hitsugime no Chaika in Japan, the novels began back in 2010 and a manga adaptation kicked off in late 2011. No details about the production have been released at this time as to who will be handling the production or a timeframe of broadcast.

Plot Concept: Toru Acura, an incredibly lazy man with some hidden talents, has been forced by his sister Akari to actually go outside and search for work. However, he is in for a big surprise when he meets Chaika Trabant in the forest, and they are suddenly attacked by a monster! How will they survive? Who is this mysterious girl, and why is she being targeted?
