The lack of information for the last couple of months has been deafening and nobody has wanted to say much, but some new information has come to light on the previously announced summer 2013 relaunch of Sailor Moon anime. Manga editor Fumi Osano was asked on Twitter about it recently and has confirmed that yes, the show won’t hit in the summer, it is delayed and that it’s likely to be a 2014 series at this point. The series was announced as happening back in the summer of 2012, but as the months went on, less and less news was out there and it almost felt like it wasn’t something that was actually going to happen at all. This just makes it clear that they do want to do it, but with another year likely to be in the mix until it hits, it sounds more and more like there are some significant issues going on here. The quieter everyone is on the production front, the more problematic it’s likely to be.
