Aniplex USA Sets ‘Oreimo’ Anime Import Blu-ray Release

Aniplex held the first of their online live panels for 2013 last night and brought out the news that they’ll be making available the import version of Oreimo for North American fans this year. The set, due on February 27th for $329.98 list, will be available at select retailers with preorders going up on Monday at Right Stuf at the least, who will be offering it for $278.98.

The set will bring all sixteen episodes out on Blu-ray in 1080p high definition across four discs in a new 4-panel digipak newly illustrated by Hiro Kanzaki. The set has an extra that will definitely interest the fans of the series as it will have Character Commentary video for all 16 episodes.

And like past import releases that Aniplex has worked with before, this will be a limited supply run.

Plot Concept: The story follows the daily life of an ordinary high school boy named Kyousuke Kousaka. Kyousuke’s younger sister Kirino is a pretty fashion model, but also hides a dark secret of being an otaku of adult games. Kyousuke is the only person to whom Kirino reveals her hidden obsession and other issues. Since its debut, the popularity of Oreimo has grown on a global scale. Answering the fans request, the entire series of Oreimo will now be available in a very high quality DVD box set.
