‘High School of the Dead ~ Drifters of the Dead’ Getting Streaming Release From Sentai Filmworks

While there’s been a number of things discovered and tweeted about from the Sentai Filmworks panel, one that’s come up that seems to have been missed involves Highschool of the Dead. According to a few tweets from people there, as listed below, it looks like Sentai Filmworks has picked up the streaming rights to the April, 2011 release of the OVA Highschool of the Dead: Drifters of the Dead. The OVA was originally set for a February 2011 release but got pushed back in Japan to April. While fans continue to hope for a second season (and more manga to be produced as well), Madhouse slid out this OVA with a fair bit more fanservice and fun for the fans to try and appease them a bit.

The indications are that this will be streamed in both the original Japanese and the English language dub that it appears to be getting. The OVA is only 15 minutes and we have confirmed with Sentai Filmworks’ David Williams that it
