The new year may have come and gone, but cleaning sprees are things that happen year round, sometimes for a wide range of reasons. And those can be problematic for cats with the way so much stuff suddenly gets moved and all the activity. Moe’s attempts at cleaning warm my heart the way she’s so cold and efficient with it for the most part. Seeing everyone do their best to clean out their lives is really fun here as well as seeing how Poyo handles the whole thing, from his surfing moments to having so many new scratching posts of sorts suddenly. You have to feel the most for Papa Sato though as he just sees the financial loss of everything being thrown away, but everyone is so into purging their lives for simplicity that he can’t do much about it.

In Summary:
With one more episode to go, Poyopoyo has a good deal of fun here as we see the purge happen. Some basic truths are here and the infection of cleaning moves well among the family members while Poyo just rides that wave. Everyone has their moments in the family and it has a simplicity about it, and a lack of hyperactivity, that lets it just be fun without being spastic. Anytime we get a wide-eyed Poyo moment or two as he’s unsure of what’s going on is a good one.
