When kids have to come up with ideas for how to resolve things, they invariably come up with contests that favor their way of doing it, unless they just demand the thing in question outright. With a piece of cake left in the class room, the gang decides to come up with a contest to figure out who gets it. Atsushi’s obvious idea of doing a marathon certainly works in his favor, but the end result is that they play a game of hide and seek. Which does work to everyone’s advantage overall, but Atsushi’s attempts at hiding have some passing by policewomen chasing him down as someone suspicious, leading to some rough times for him and them overall.

In Summary:
While the show is generally uneven for a lot of reasons, and they do go to the whole “Let’s arrest Atsushi” gag far more than they should, Recorder and Randsell does have some fun here and left me smiling for the most part. The kids deal with Atsushi pretty well when you get down to it and don’t let him get away with overpowering them when it comes to competitions and he’s young enough mentally to not make an issue out of it. The show puts him through his paces a bit though with the police women chasing him but it all has a cute ending when you get down to it.
