With the first season nearing its end in Japan and through its simulcast via Crunchyroll, the second season of Medaka Box has officially been given the green light according to the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. The show has been getting good rankings in popularity polls and various English speaking sites have fans ranking it pretty high as well. No details about the next season are revealed as of yet but it’s expected the primary creative staff will come back again to adapt the manga by NisiOisin and Akira Akatsugi as well as the cast.
The first season of the series is currently planned for a home video release from Sentai Filmworks.
