The recent series Black Rock Shooter has found itself a new home as Australian anime licensor Siren Visual has picked up the rights to release it, according to their Facebook page. The company has promised more info soon, but at the moment it’s not entirely clear which animated aspects of the franchise will be coming out. An OVA was released in 2010 that ran for 50 minutes and at the beginning of this year there was an eight episode run that aired on Fuji TV. Presumably it’s that as it was part of the noitamina broadcast run, but it may include the OVA as well.
Plot Concept: Black Rock Shooter, a mysterious black haired girl who possesses a burning blue eye and a powerful cannon that can shoot rocks at high speed.
Busy as always here at Siren HQ, but not busy enough to neglect some good news: BLACK ROCK SHOOTER coming to Region 4 via Siren Visual in September!
And yes, that’s an opening tune by Hatsune Miku. Coming your way in September – pre-orders will be available soon and we’re going to have some knock-out stuff heading out to a couple of lucky folk, too!
