The September anime release slate from FUNimation has made its way to retailers in its final form now, though things are still without particular details such as what extras may be included. And if there are any pack-ins to be had with some of the collections. September sees the release of the second season of Shakugan no Shana as we talked about before as well as a couple of other previously unreleased titles. We get the first season of Is This A Zombie? and the King of Thorn movie. Sadly, Is This A Zombie? is getting the DVD only release as we expected due to licensing restrictions.
On the re-release front, there are some good things to be had here at awesome prices. One Piece, Tower of Druaga and Spice & Wolf make for great collection fillers that should be seen and we’re stoked to see not only Habane Renmei arrive (and we’re hoping to like it more now this time around) but also to see the Fafner TV series land at last on DVD/BD combo.
