If there’s one things Hollywood studios will do with their big franchises, it’s to milk it in every way possible. But sometimes they do manage to do it in a way that really, really makes you want it. The latest of this comes in the form of the Harry Potter Wizards Collection, which is a Blu-ray/DVD combo set with the utterly useless UltraViolet digital copy. The set contains 31 discs, 18 of which are the movie discs and 13 are special feature discs, and it also includes the 3D versions of the last two features. And it puts it all together in a gorgeous package that really goes the distance and has to be expensive on its own to put together, which may not justify the $500 MSRP…. Check out the first blush details below and the video that showcases how the packaging operates. No date is set yet other than 2012. Warner pulled most of its collections from distribution last year in anticipation of building up demand for this.
