While Poyo has plenty of influence over those in her life when it comes to humans, it’s uncertain exactly what she can do when it comes to other cats. And it’s almost pretty scary as she becomes a temporary mother after Moe discovered a box of kittens after the bean throwing festival. With Poyo being such a great little playplace since she’s so rotund, the kittens get into playing with her a whole lot and they’re a great contrast since they’re pure white. Of course, taking Poyo in was a huge task for Moe and the Saito family, so they’re not going to keep all these kittens and have to try and find them homes. Which is simple but hits some cute notes when it comes to friends and the like, but it’s getting the letters from the new owners showing how similar to Poyo they are in distinct ways that tickles ones fancy the most. And the most fun for me was watching Papa Saito as he just couldn’t handle giving them up.

In Summary:
Poyopoyo still surprises me in a way that it keeps hitting the mark so well overall for such a short show. It’s not one that I’d normally get into as the 3 minute runtime is a real dealbreaker for me in general, but it just does a lot right here and is the perfect first show of the day for me on a Sunday before getting into other shows. It’s cute, simple and makes me smile a whole lot with the simple antics of the Saito family and new member Poyo. Bringing more kittens into the mix could be dangerous and a game changer, but they handle it right here while still keeping plenty of attention on Poyo herself.
