‘Sin City 2’ Storyline Taking Shape

2 min read

It’ll be going into production some seven years after the first installment but Sin City 2 is taking a bit more shape as MTV News managed to get a little bit out of Frank Miller at the NYCC recently. Miller goes into a bit of detail about how he and Robert Rodriguez really worked well together when they did the original feature and that they’re looking to capture that magic in the bottle again the second time around. Miller also has revealed that they’re getting a more realistic production start date of the spring of 2012 and talking about what kind of story it will be, which pieces from the comics are being used and so forth.

“‘Sin City’ number two is primarily an adaptation of the book ‘A Dame to Kill For’,” Miller reiterated, then adding: “It also features the short story, ‘Just Another Saturday Night’ and two new stories. One involving Jessica Alba’s character, Nancy Callahan, that I came up with for the movie in order to tie things together and make it be more united with the first.”

And this then brings to question whether they’d be able to bring back the original actors for this, with Mickey Rourke and Jessica Alba, or whether they’d have to recast it.
